Heart to Heart linky was set up to help other heart families share their stories and experiences in order to help support each other as a community. It opens on the 15th of each month and stays open for a week so there is plenty of time to share your CHD-related posts. You can share as many posts as you like – old posts or new posts, updates on how your heart child is progressing, poems, advice – whatever you like as long as it is related to life as a heart family. Last month, Northumberland Mam shared a milestone moment – being eight years on from her daughters’ heart surgeries. How lovely to read about how well her girls are doing eight years on.
We had thought that Jessica’s next heart surgery might take place over the summer holidays but this was not the case. We were given a date at the end of the holidays but this coincided with the start of my hubby’s very busy time at work and so the surgery now needs to be postponed until early November. We don’t expect to hear back with regards to a new date until mid-October. In the meantime, we are trying to relax and enjoy the next few weeks. I’m sharing a couple of posts this month – an update from Jessica’s blog and my reflections on living in limbo.
