From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
Thank you to everyone who linked up last week. Conversations with Hank shared an adorable Mama and Molly moment having “sprinkles and mud” nails. I loved Wriggly’s toddlerism of “crispool” for preschool and how she blamed a monster for throwing a bath bomb in the toilet shared in Le Coin de Mel’s latest family update.
Sophie was helping me sort washing recently. She put a pair of socks over her hands and said “Look Mummy! I have Anna gloves!”
“Anna gloves?” I tried to think about what made Anna’s gloves special. Wasn’t it Elsa that had gloves in Frozen?
“Yes, for holding hot things.”
Oven gloves. Of course. Silly me!
Jessica lost her second milk tooth recently. She was very excited at the prospect of a visit from the tooth fairy and requested “an iPad and a Moana DVD” in the letter she left under the pillow with the tooth. I think she might have been spoiled by the tooth fairy leaving a picture of a giraffe after she requested a coin and a giraffe last time! I did have to point out that the tooth fairy isn’t Father Christmas and only leaves a coin and perhaps a note, not big expensive things!
If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.
Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
Sign of the times that demands of the tooth fairy are getting bigger all the time. Love the Oven Gloves one – we always have to listen so intently which is so difficult to do when we are so busy too. Love this linky
Thank you Kate, so glad you like it. The oven gloves comment did make me laugh 🙂
oh my goodness too cute! An iPad that would be one impressive tooth airy, wouldn’t want mine to think that’s possible, even Santa can barely afford those gifts lol.
Lol, Santa would definitely struggle with that one too! The tooth fairy just left a coin 🙂
