#365daysofgratitude – Week 42

#365daysofgratitude is my challenge for 2017 to share one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. I took part in a similar challenge last year and loved it so am looking forward to continuing with it this year. Here are the things that I’ve been grateful for over the past week:

Day 288 – I am grateful for a fun weekend full of birthday parties.

Day 289 – I am grateful for short school runs (especially in weird yellow light!) and the way Sophie often wants to hold Jessica’s hand instead of mine. Love sibling moments like this.

Day 290 – I am grateful that Jessica loves her hospital Playmobil set – helping her to prepare for her “sleepover” at the doctors while she is having fun playing.

Day 291 – I am grateful for having my sister here this morning to take Sophie to preschool as Jessica is poorly today. Hope my big girl feels better soon.

Day 292 – I am grateful for dads. These are the three fab dads in my life. My wonderful dad who I miss more than words can say; my father-in-law; and my hubby who is an an amazing daddy to our girls. Today would have been my dad’s 84th birthday. It is my father-in-laws 70th birthday. Happy birthday to both dads xxx

Day 293 – I am grateful that having to cancel this little lady’s birthday party wasn’t as stressful as it could have been. She and Jessica are both down with a tummy bug today which has forced us to cancel tomorrow’s party. Thankfully I had planned to make the cake tonight, could amend my online shop until this morning (so could cancel the party food), have managed to contact all the guests and the two bookings I had to cancel were both very understanding about it all. I’m gutted that we’ve had to cancel but as it can’t be avoided I’m glad the process was fairly painless. We will just have to have a little tea party at home next week instead. Getting my little ladies better again is the main thing for now.

Day 294 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon with my mum and twin sister having a little tea party for Sophie to make up for having to cancel her birthday party.
