Me and Mine – January

Me and Mine - January - Little Hearts, Big LoveJanuary has seen little shifts in the time we spend together as a family. Jessica started preschool at the beginning of the month and often hubby has been able to go into work slightly later on those two days so that he can stay at home with Sophie while I take Jessica to preschool. It’s nice for him to get that one-to-one time with Sophie and for me to have that one-to-one time with Jessica and makes it easier to get out of the house with only having to ensure one child is ready to go!

Me and Mine - January - Little Hearts, Big LoveJanuary has been mostly about lazy weekends together at home, venturing out for a walk around Ruislip Lido in the winter sunshine, or taking the girls to see their very first pantomime. We’ve had Jessica’s cardiac check-up recently which hubby tries to attend when he can and with the team now starting to consider when her next major surgery is likely to take place, I am reminded once again of how uncertain the future is and am thankful for the time that we can spend together as a family, enjoying the here and now and trying not to think ahead.

This month’s photos were taken earlier today, just before we headed off to the panto. We were just enjoying time together at home as a family – just a normal Saturday morning at home together.

  1. It’s great that you’ve both managed to get one-to-one time with the girls. I was thinking just yesterday that I’d like to start taking the little ones out one at a time for ‘special days out’. Hopefully Wriggly will be taking bottles soon đŸ™‚ x
