I love reed diffusers as a way of keeping my home smelling nice and so when House of Fraser contacted me to ask if I would like to review some of their home fragrance products, I was happy to oblige. I received a Linea mini-reed diffuser set with a trio of different fragrances to review and am offering the same set as a giveaway which you can enter to win at the end of this post.
The mini-reed diffuser set that I received contained three sets of reeds and three 50ml jars, each of which will last up to 2 months, with one of each of the following fragrances:
- Pink grapefruit and mango
- Wild fig and vanilla
- Lemongrass and ginger
Reed diffusers work by the fragrant oil being absorbed by the reeds which then release the scent into the air. They are a gentle and delicate way of providing fragrance in the home without being overpowering.
Whilst I found all three fragrances very pleasant, the pink grapefruit and mango, described as being “a beautifully fresh fragrance combining the zesty scents of pink grapefruit and lemon soda, laced with sweet, ripe mangoes” was my favourite of the three with its perfect balance of sweet and citrusy aromas. The wild fig and vanilla with its “deep woody notes of ripe fruity fig sweetened with soft vanilla to create a truly elegant and warming scent” was my second favourite. The vanilla scent is very subtle with the fig fragrance being more dominant – if it had been slightly more vanilla-y it would probably have been my favourite as I love the smell of vanilla. I also liked the lemongrass and ginger fragrance described as “beautifully refreshing scent” and “an invigorating blend of citrus lemongrass and aromatic ginger root” with its a lovely balance of citrus and spice.
The Linea mini-reed diffuser set retails at £24 although you can win one by entering via the rafflecopter below. The giveaway ends at midnight on 5th March 2015 and is open to UK entrants only. Good luck!
I received a complimentary set of mini-reed diffusers to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This probably sounds really stupid but I’ve never really understood what these were lol. Thanks for sharing your review.
