Heart to Heart – July 2015

It’s been a year since I first started my Heart to Heart linky. Over this last year, I have been blessed to be a part of a small community of heart families within the blogosphere who have shared their stories to help raise awareness of congenital heart defects and to help others who are travelling similar journeys. A huge thank you to everyone who has linked up over the last year. Being a heart parent can feel like a very lonely road at times and knowing that we are not alone can be incredibly helpful and encouraging.

If you are new to Heart to Heart – this is a linky for heart families to share their stories and posts relating to congenital heart defects. Heart to Heart opens on the 15th of each month and stays open for a week so there is plenty of time to share your CHD-related posts. You can share old posts or new posts, updates on how your heart child is progressing, poems, advice – whatever you like as long as it is related to life as a heart family. If you would like to add the code below to your post that would be great and please do visit other posts in the link too! I’ll also try and share posts on Twitter – and will try and retweet those with the hashtag #hearttoheartlinky

Thank you to everyone who linked up last month. I have added posts previously linked up to Heart to Heart on my Pinterest board as well as sharing other CHD-related posts. If you would like an invite to pin to it, please do let me know.

Looking forward to reading your heart-related posts this month.

  1. Hi

I have just discovered your blog. My kid has been very sick (Facebook- prayforabetterskye) but is on the mend. She has an enlarged heart because of what she has been through and is due to get a follow up appointment shortly. Recently, my in laws haven’t been supportive with my blog and I have felt a bit lost because I am stuck in the middle of my husband and his parents. They are the only ones saying that my blog isn’t a good thing. So, discovering your blog gave me hope. Thanks.

    1. Hi Gemma. So sorry that your daughter has been so sick but glad that she is on the mend and that my blog has helped give you hope. Blogging has really helped me through the difficult days and has helped me become part of a wonderful community of heart parents. Wishing your daughter all the best and hope you have good news at your follow up appointment x

  2. You are doing such great work, sharing stories and promoting how successfully a family can live even when their little one has heart troubles. Thanks, Mich x
