We’ve had a better week this week. My mum has come to stay for a few days and it’s been so lovely having her around to chat to, and seeing how happy Sophie and Thomas are to be able to spend time with Nanny.
I’m not feeling quite as overloaded as I was last week. It’s helped having an extra pair of hands around the house, but there’s also been support in place for some of the things that I was feeling stressed about which has helped too.
What I’ve been grateful for this week:
- Day 264 – I am grateful for Friday evening chats with friends while our children are at Brigades.
- Day 265 – I am grateful for a lovely induction service for our new minister and the help from my church family looking after Thomas while I was singing in the choir.
- Day 266 – I am grateful for tea and homemade tea loaf.
- Day 267 – I am grateful for time to finish off my Mole costume for Wind in the Willows.
- Day 268 – I am grateful for being presented with a lovely map of the world at pick-up time.
- Day 269 – I am grateful for the joy of a surprise visit from Nanny.
- Day 270 – I am grateful for time to sit and knit.
Other things that have made me smile this week:
- A brief dream visit from Jessica. She was at secondary school in my dream and I got a glimpse of what she might have been like now which was lovely.
- Sophie ripping up her 11+ practice papers and throwing them in the air after her 11+ exam.
- Sophie getting into the junior ensemble for the Compass Theatre panto.
- An open evening at a secondary school that Sophie and I both really liked.
It’s nice to have extra help sometimes and not to mention extra company. Glad the little ones are enjoying it too. It’s good to ask for, and get help when you need it. Glad things are BETTER. Have a great weekend.
Ooh how exciting looking around secondary schools. I loved doing that. Bet she’s so pleased to have finished her 11+ exams. Sounds lovely to have had your mum around to help this week.
Visits from Nanny are always nice and especially so because it means you get some help with things 🙂 The photo of Sophie throwing her practice papers in the air made me smile. I’m glad you’ve had a better week.
How lovely for the kids to spend time with Nanny and an extra pair of hands for you. Secondary School for Sophie already – WOW!
How lovely to have your mum to help you put for the week and take some of the pressure off so you could do some lovely things like finishing off the Mole costume and make a visit to the secondary school with Sophie. What a lovely dream you had of Jessica. Hope Sophie gets the news she wants after her hard work with her 11+ exams.
