This week has been a busy one with various things going on – a fireworks evening with the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades, a dance festival for Sophie, Remembrance Sunday parade, several meetings to attend and a football match for Sophie as well as the usual weekly activities. It’s been full-on and quite draining at times, but somehow we’ve managed to juggle it all and have the odd moment to catch our breath here and there!
What I’ve been grateful for this week:
- Day 313 – I am grateful that Sophie and Thomas enjoyed the Brigades’ fireworks evening.
- Day 314 – I am grateful that we haven’t had quite as many fireworks going off as in previous years. These were quite pretty to watch from the window though.
- Day 315 – I am grateful that Thomas coped with taking part in the Remembrance Sunday parade and service at the peace memorial.
- Day 316 – I am grateful for the beautiful laughter of children playing together.
- Day 317 – I am grateful for a lovely surprise for Sophie finding out that she won the half-term competition at Denham Country Park.
- Day 318 – I am grateful for starry nightlights.
- Day 319 – I am grateful for snuggly cute hot (warm!) water bottles.
Other things that have made me smile this week:
- A surprise flower delivery from a friend.
- A lovely NODA review for The Wind in the Willows with some really nice comments about my performance as Mole and Sophie’s performance as a hedgehog child.
- Thomas having another visit from the tooth fairy.
Joining in with Raisie Bay for Word of the Week.
It does sound like a busy week! I hope you are finding time to relax too.
Thomas riding Sophie like a horse did make me chuckle and the hot water bottles are so cute. x
Sounds like a busy week, but enjoyable. Yay to nice fireworks. We spent one night, when we didn’t know a place down the road was doing them, trying to find our black labrador who hates them and escaped the run and the electric fence round the garden. She’d luckily gone and hidden in a barn rather than gone out on the road, but it was a nervous search.
That was a busy week indeed, full of lovely things and fun by the sounds of it. Well done to Sophie on her competition win and for your good review of the show. I hope next week is a little less busy for you all, there is always so much going on at this time of year.
What a busy bee you are. I hope you managed a quiet weekend.
it’s nice to be busy with positive things. Even better if you find moments to catch your breath too. Thanks for sharing the lovely week you’ve had.
There is something heartwarming about the sound of children’s laughter. Lovely flowers from your friend. How many visits has Thomas had from the tooth fairy now?
He’s had two visits so far.
