#366daysofgratitude and rememberlutions

Throughout 2015, one of my friends shared a photo each day on her Facebook feed showing one thing that she was thankful for each day. It was such a lovely positive thing to do and I really enjoyed seeing each day’s photo. It’s inspired me to do the same throughout 2016 – to find one thing in each day that I am grateful for. I am sure that some days will be easier than others but I’m looking forward to taking part and sharing my photos each day on Instagram using the hashtag #366daysofgratitude. If you’d like to join in with me, let me know – I’d love to see the little things you’re thankful for each day too.

I’ve also been inspired by the lovely Katy at What Katy Said who shared a post on how to make a “rememberlutions” jar. Instead of making New Year’s resolutions, which will no doubt all be broken by the middle of January, I’ll be making a note of the little moments and achievements during 2016, writing them on slips of paper and placing them into the jar. At the end of the year, hopefully there will be a lot of lovely memories to look back on.

The front of my “rememberlutions” jar features a quote from my all-time favourite author, L.M. Montgomery, found in her book “Anne of Avonlea”. For me, it’s a perfect reminder that it’s the simple moments in life where we can find the most happiness, and I’m sure that most of my happy moments and thankful photos will be found in the ordinary and the everyday.

"...the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string." (L.M. Montgomery, "Anne of Avonlea") - one of my favourite quotes

Wishing all my readers the best for 2016 and hope that you will all enjoy many happy moments.
