#365daysofgratitude – Week 43

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. It has not always been easy to find something to be grateful for each day though, especially since losing my beautiful daughter Jessica in April. Jessica’s zest for life, her strength and the joy that she gave to all who knew her have always inspired me. I continue with this challenge every day in honour of her.

Day 294 – I am grateful for a lovely day for the Great South Run and so proud of Jessica’s uncles and cousins for doing so well running it in her memory and fundraising for Little Hearts Matter. You all did Jessica proud today. Thank you so much.

Day 295 – I am grateful to be starting half-term by spending time with my family.

Day 296 – I am grateful for autumn leaves.

Day 297 – I am grateful for a fun day out with Sophie and Thomas at Chessington.

Day 298 – I am grateful that Sophie had fun with a friend while doing the Halloween trail at Black Park.

Day 299 – I am grateful for a trip to the park to test out the new Scootaheadz and Scootaseatz on Sophie’s scooter – will be sharing our thoughts on the blog next week.

Day 300 – I am grateful that Sophie had a lovely birthday and that she enjoyed her pizza party in spite of Pizza Hut losing our booking. It was somewhat stressful standing outside with all the kids having to argue with the manager who initially told me I couldn’t make a party booking for today despite me having an email confirmation of my booking and having confirmed it via phone yesterday. Thankfully we did get our party though and the kids seemed oblivious to the drama! Thank you to everyone who helped make Sophie’s birthday a happy one.
