#365daysofgratitude – Week 19

#365daysofgratitude is my challenge for 2017 to share one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. I took part in a similar challenge last year and loved it so am looking forward to continuing with it this year. Here are the things that I’ve been grateful for over the past week:

Day 127 – I am grateful for an afternoon at Grandma’s house and enjoying the sunshine with my family.

Day 128 – I am grateful for my pretty orchid which I have somehow managed to keep alive for the last three years. I’d been on a night out telling friends about how daft hubby was to buy me a pot plant on Mother’s Day given I always killed plants. You can imagine my blushes when they then gave me this as a birthday present at the end of the night! I am sure guilt has been a factor in helping me to keep it alive but it is very pretty and I’m glad it has survived!

Day 129 – I am grateful for a lovely birthday. These little girls of mine have wished me a happy birthday and sung to me so many times today. Finished off the day with a yummy meal at an all you can eat Chinese buffet – lots of crispy duck pancakes!

Day 130 – I am grateful for being able to attend my graduation for my HR course.

Day 131 – I am grateful for being sent a craft box each month. We’ve been having fun making egg box flower gardens with this month’s box.

Day 132 – I am grateful for having just enough time between dropping Jessica off at Girls’ Brigade and picking her up to make flapjacks. I’d forgotten all about tomorrow’s GB coffee morning and only remembered as I was taking her there!

Day 133 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon watching Jessica take part in her Girls’ Brigade Explorer Sports Day. Six years ago today we were told that post birth surgery was unlikely to be an option due to the severity of Jessica’s heart condition. Today we watched her running about with her friends and she actually came 3rd in the obstacle race. I was so proud of her – she usually trails way behind her peers in races but managed to get ahead of some of them in this one!

    1. Thanks Nat. It makes me chuckle now looking back, but I was utterly mortified at the time! x
