Win a brunch for two with POM Wonderful

As a busy mummy of two with a tendency to burn the candle at both ends, I’m somewhat reliant on a cup of coffee or two in the mornings to get me going.  Sometimes I wonder if I drink a little too much coffee though, and whether it would be best to swap my mid-morning cuppa with another drink.  I was recently invited to do just that – to swap my coffee for some POM Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice over a delicious brunch.

Each 710ml bottle POM Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice contains the juice of six Californian-grown pomegranates.   POM Wonderful is also packed with polyphenol antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, fibre, potassium, foliate, copper, iron and calcium and has no added sugar, colour of flavours so is a healthy alternative to that mid-morning cup of coffee.  It was also the perfect accompaniment to the wonderful brunch, which was cooked in my own home by chef Chris from La Belle Assiette.

To be able to sit and enjoy family time at home with someone else cooking a meal for us was utterly blissful.  The food was amazing.  We started off with Bucks Fizz – oranges served in fizzy white wine with mint sprinkled on top – which felt like a mixture of a starter and an aperitif and was delicious.  The second course was my favourite – Eggs Royale – poached eggs with smoked salmon and Hollandaise sauce served on top of a toasted muffin.  Yum!

Hubby’s favourite came next – home-made sausages and baked beans. It also happened to be the girls’ favourite too and they enjoyed sharing some!

We finished off our brunch with delicious cinnamon buns and orange marmalade fruit pastilles.  After the meal, Chris washed up and put away everything, leaving the kitchen absolutely spotless.  Not having to clear up afterwards was almost as good as having the brunch cooked for us!

I also enjoyed trying out some POM Wonderful juice.  I’d never tried pomegranate juice before, but I liked the taste – a mixture of sweet and tart which reminded me a little of cranberry juice but without the aftertaste that I dislike. It’s certainly something that I would try again as an accompaniment to breakfast or brunch.
