One of Jessica’s favourite things is drawing pictures. She will happily spend hours at the table drawing and there are times when it is a challenge to keep up with her paper consumption. Last week she decided to draw a picture of Mummy.
Jessica: “This is Mummy. She’s grumpy.”
Me: “Is Mummy normally grumpy?”
J: “Yes.”
Me: “Why is Mummy grumpy?”
J: “Because she has a baby in her tummy. The baby is called Amelia.”
I’d just like to clarify that I am definitely not pregnant. As for grumpy – well, I might not be the chirpiest person in the world first thing in the morning…! Especially not before my first cup of coffee, anyway!

I have no idea where the thought came from as I only know one person who’s having a baby at the moment and she’s at the toddler group that I go to with Sophie while Jessica is at preschool so it won’t have come from that. I do love the drawing though, even if I do look very grumpy! 🙂
