From the mouths of babes #133 – Questions…

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week.  Kate on Thin Ice’s teens made me smile with their reasons for a sibling being nice and life plans.

Jessica was asking questions about life before Sophie arrived the other day. Thankfully Daddy was on the receiving end of being asked “where was Sophie before she was born?” and “how did you grow up my sister?” (meaning in Mummy’s tummy).  As it was bedtime, hubby’ response to both questions was “oh that’s very complicated. That’s a question for another day.” Jessica was happy to wait for an answer this time, but we’ll have to have a better answer for her next time she asks!

Some of the questions are a little easier to answer though:

Jessica: “Do you always love me?”

Me: “Yes.”

J: “Even when you’re cross?”

Me: “Yes, even when I’m cross.”

J: “But you don’t cuddle me when you’re cross.”

Me: “Sometimes not, but I never ever stop loving you.”

J: “I love you one hundred, hundred, hundred, hundred, hundred. That’s a lot of love. Don’t forget, you’re my best mummy.”

Isn’t it nice to feel loved?

If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.

Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
