From the mouths of babes #124 – Do you love your sister?

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week.  I loved OMG It’s a Girl’s post about how fearless Little Miss OMG is while telling her daddy not to worry.

Jessica and Sophie wearing lots of coloured pegs on their clothes - "From the mouths of babes #124 - Do you love your sister?"

My girls are usually very affectionate with each other. One morning, watching Jessica giving Sophie a cuddle, I said “aww, do you love your sister?”

“Yes,” Jessica replied, “I just love her when she stops annoying me!”

Hubby was going through some of the recorded programmes on our TiVo box one evening. He had Nelly and Nora (one of Jessica’s favourite CBeebies programmes) on when Jessica woke up and came downstairs.

“Daddy, you can’t watch CBeebies! It’s for kids. You’re a grown up. You’re a Daddy. You have to watch your own channels!”

The girls were helping hubby open his Father’s Day presents yesterday morning.

“It’s not Father’s Day for us, “ Jessica told me, “we’re just helping Daddy open his presents.”

One of Daddy’s presents was a box of chocolates.

“It’s chocolates, Daddy!” said Sophie. “You can have one now, Daddy, and you can share them if you like!”

Fortunately for her, Daddy was willing to share some of his chocolates!

If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.

Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
