#365daysofgratitude – Week 24

#365daysofgratitude is my challenge for 2017 to share one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. I took part in a similar challenge last year and loved it so am looking forward to continuing with it this year. Here are the things that I’ve been grateful for over the past week:

Day 162 – I am grateful for having hubby home this weekend.

Day 163 – I am grateful for snuggles with Jessica although would prefer to have snuggles without her being poorly again. Hoping she’s back to her usual self again soon.

Day 164 – I am grateful for how good Jessica’s school are when it comes to looking out for her and her extra needs. She has a cold at the moment which has really knocked her for six. In the last week, she’s been sent home twice at lunchtime and had a full day off sick. This week she’s been better in the mornings but exhausted by lunchtime. Today I prearranged with school to collect her at lunchtime, knowing that she wouldn’t cope with PE this afternoon. She’s now asleep on the sofa. It was the right decision to take her home for the afternoon. Hoping she’ll be back to her usual self very soon.

Day 165 – I am grateful that Jessica was able to enjoy her school trip today and to have one-to-one time with her. She’s still struggling energy-wise and spent most of the day in the buggy but still had a fun day out.

Day 166 – I am grateful for open access to our local children’s ward. Being a heart mummy means I can go from slightly concerned to quite worried very quickly – there is not a lot of middle ground at times! Jessica has been under the weather for the last week with a cold which has hit her hard energy-wise. This afternoon she was very lethargic and spiked a temperature of 39.5˚C. As our GP was closed for the afternoon, we were able to head straight to hospital to get her checked out. She perked up again while we were there and the consultant also thinks it’s a virus but has given us antibiotics for her to take if she doesn’t improve in a day or so in case she is brewing a bacterial infection on top of the virus. Fingers crossed she won’t need them though.

Day 167 – I am grateful for a quiet day at home helping this little lady of mine get better.

Day 168 – I am grateful for yummy raspberries fresh from the garden.
