From the mouths of babes #110 – A trip down memory lane

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

 

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I loved Rainbows Are Too Beautiful’s post about her children’s reasons for her being a good mum and After the Rain’s post on trying to answer questions on the Big Bang and other comments from her three-year-old.

 

I usually try and make a note of the funny things that the girls say as soon as possible – otherwise I end up forgetting them. Last week was one of those weeks when I forgot to capture the moments and so this week I’m indulging in a little nostalgia and sharing three of my favourite clips of my girls singing.

 

First up, we have Jessica singing Bob the Builder back when she was three. Love the build-up to the chorus on this one:

 

I love this clip of Sophie singing the Goodnight Song from CBeebies. I’m very biased, of course, but it’s the cutest rendition.

 

And finally, my all-time favourite clip has to be this one of Sophie singing God Save The Queen at the age of six months.
