Me and Mine – January 2016

The snow really couldn’t have been more perfectly timed. A Sunday morning with hubby at home; the girls waking up early enough to have plenty of time to go out and play in it before we had to leave for church and just enough of the cold white stuff to build a snowman together. Both the girls were excited and eager to get out in it – it was only the second time Sophie has ever seen snow and probably only the second time that Jessica would remember seeing snow too.

For children, snow is always quite magical and for a few moments, hubby and I are like children again too – throwing snowballs, rolling big snowballs across the garden to make a snowman and having fun together as a family. It is moments like this that linger in the memory; little moments that will stand out when we look back again on this time. A moment of just enjoying being together outside, having fun and embracing the magic of the first snowfall of winter.

The snow may have melted away by lunchtime; the snowman lasting a couple of days more but the memories of snowy fun in the garden on a cold January morning will remain.

  1. Awww, I love your snowy captures. We’ve not had any snow so I’m rather jealous. It looks like you had lots of fun on your snowy morning and its great that you got your Me and Mine photos with a bonus snowy family member too. x

  2. We haven’t had much snow at all yet, just a tiny sprinkling which was gone by lunch… and barely enough for a snow ball let alone a snow man. Lovely photos of lovely memories.

    1. Thanks Caroline – ours was gone by lunchtime too – we got out in the garden at just the right time!

    1. Thanks Carie – it took most of the snow in the garden to make it but we were determined to make sure we had a snowman! 🙂

  3. Ah we didn’t even get a flurry, so disapointing! However I love your family photos, the girls must of been so excitied to play in it.

  4. We didn’t get any snow!!! I mean I had wished that we wouldn’t because I hate it, but your pictures in the snow look so lovely.

I love the girls matching “Frozen” coates too xxx
