Me and You – July 2014

Last week hubby and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. It has become a bit of a tradition to watch our wedding video again on our anniversary and relive all the happy memories of that day. Jessica loved watching the video too and seeing Mummy and Daddy on the TV – in fact she wanted to watch it over and over again.

This month’s photo was taken at the wedding of two university friends of ours. It was a beautiful day and listening to them take their vows made me think of the ones we made on our own wedding day. It has not been the easiest five years and we have had many ups and downs along the way but we have faced the difficult times together and tried to make sure we made time to talk and listen to each other. Communication really is the key. Most of our biggest arguments have been down to poor communication and mismanaged expectations. It is only when we sit down and really talk that we can move forward. We know that we work best as a team.

I’ve been thinking a lot this month about all the many things I love about my hubby. He is incredibly patient, loving and encouraging, a wonderful daddy to our two girls and I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life.
