A family Christmas

For me, one of my favourite things about Christmas is spending time with family. With four brothers and four sisters, that’s a lot of family to try and catch up with over the festive period though although I managed to catch up with seven of my siblings – four of them before Christmas and three just afterwards (hopefully I will catch up with my brother in the new year!)

Before I had children, we would alternate whose family we spent Christmas Day and who we spent Boxing Day with but now Christmas Day is spent with hubby’s parents, alternating between our house and their house as they live about a mile away from us and we travel down on Boxing Day to spend a few days with my family.

We’ve enjoyed lots of time sitting on the floor and playing with toys, chatting and catching up, playing card games and just having quality time together.  The girls love spending so much time with grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins and have been thoroughly spoilt!
