Lovely… and slightly spooky! I wonder where it goes…
I think the black and white makes it quite spooky. It’s a canal tunnel but is disused at the moment.
I agree, that is slightly spooky, not sure I’d want to venture in there 🙂
It was a little eerie – I don’t think I’d want to go in either! 🙂
Great photo, love how architecture shows up more in black and white.
Thank you 🙂
I always love how ornate such a simple thing as a bridge was back in the day, really intriguing picture #bwphotoproject
Thank you 🙂
I agree with what others have said, it looks awfully spooky in there!
Lovely shot, the black and white really helps highlight the beautiful detail in the bridge x
Thank you – yes it was a little eerie 🙂
What a beautiful arched bridge, so much detailing on it. Is it somewhere very well known?
It’s the Sapperton canal tunnel which is near Circencester
I’m intrigued now to learn more about this bridge. Just a small stream under but all the rich architectural detail above from the columns to the insets
It’s the Sapperton canal tunnel – was the longest canal tunnel in the country at one point at nearly 3.5km long but is now disused as has collapsed in the middle.
A little mysterious… I like old bridges and this photo!
Have a blessed new week
Thank you – hope you have a good week too 🙂
Such an intriguing photo. B&W really highlights the details in the stonework #bwphotoproject
Thank you – I liked the effect of it in black and white too 🙂
Love the symmetry and grandness for a functional structure – looks great in black and white too #bwphotoproject
Thank you 🙂
