#366daysofgratitude – Week 9

Throughout 2016 I will be posting a photo on Instagram each day, sharing something that I am grateful for each day as part of my #366daysofgratitude project. Here are the things I have been grateful for this week:

#366daysofgratitude: Week 9 - Little Hearts, Big Love

Day 59 – I am grateful for a fun craft afternoon making a spring garden in an egg box with Jessica while Sophie had a nap.

Day 60 – I am thankful for open access to our local children’s ward – Jessica was quite blue and subdued during preschool today; within an hour of them calling me we were in the hospital and on oxygen. Not exactly sure what is going on just yet but we are being admitted and she needs IV antibiotics.

Day 61 – I am grateful for a cannula that went in on the first attempt (a rare occurrence with Jessica!), IV antibiotics helping her to get better and sats which are starting to stay at better levels without oxygen being needed to help them get there.

Day 62 – I am grateful for the NHS and all the wonderful care we have had over the last couple of days but I’m very thankful to be told we are able to go home!! And Jessica says “hooray!” too! Just waiting for the paperwork and we can go!

Day 63 – I am grateful for the lovely get well soon card that Jessica’s preschool made for her – Jessica loved it and so did I!

Day 64 – I am grateful for time catching up with these lovely ladies. It is a shame that it was a sad occasion that brought us together but it was lovely to reminisce about our midwifery days at the Birth Centre whilst also sharing memories about a lovely lady whose sunny smile made everyone’s day a little brighter. RIP lovely Libby.

Day 65 – I am grateful for a fun evening playing Bohnanza (or ‘beans’ as we usually call it) for the first time in ages.

    1. Aww thank you Kim – I’m really enjoying looking for all the positives each day, it makes such a difference!

  1. It amazes me how thankful and grateful you are in life, I admire how you find the positives in each day even though you were both in hospital. I know I need to try harder to acknowledge the positives in mine. I am very happy to read Jessica came home so quickly, and how nice of pre-school to send that card through. 🙂 #project366

  2. I’m so glad that Jessica got out of hospital so quickly, and I hope that she is feeling much better now. You’ve had a tough week all in all, seeing the positives in it is very inspiring x
