#366days of gratitude – Weeks 51 and 52

Happy New Year! Throughout 2016 I posted a photo on Instagram each day, sharing something that I was grateful for each day as part of my #366daysofgratitude project.  I enjoyed it so much that I’m going to continue with it in 2017 (changing it to #365daysofgratitude as 2017 isn’t a leap year!) Finding something to be thankful for has become part of my everyday life and it’s helped me to notice the little things in each day that I might not have noticed otherwise. Some days have been much easier than others – there have been days when I could have posted multiple gratitude photos, and others where I had to stop and think just to find one.

Here’s my final round-up of gratitude photos from 2016. If you’d like to join me in 2017, please let me know in the comments below!

A pre-Christmas meal with friends, being the other side of the pre-Christmas meltdown, a visit from Godmummy Katy, catching up with friends from France, Grandma looking after the girls so I could go shopping, Christmas crafts and nativity pictures, a quiet Christmas Eve spending time together as a family, a lovely Christmas Day with my girls, meeting my newest great-nephew for the first time, winter walks and trails, snuggles on the sofa, a good eye check-up, scooters and ending 2016 with my hubby and two girls - the things I've been thankful for over the last couple of weeks

Day 353 – I am grateful for a lovely pre-Christmas meal with friends and seeing the girls having fun with their little friends too.

Day 354 – I am grateful to be the other side of the annual pre-Christmas meltdown.

Day 355 – I am grateful for a fun day with “Mummy-God” Katy.

Day 356 – I am grateful for the opportunity to catch up with a couple of friends who live in France – we haven’t seen them since we visited them two years ago and it was lovely to see them again this morning.

Day 357 – I am grateful for my in-laws looking after the girls so I could get the last of the Christmas shopping done.

Day 358 – I am grateful for Christmas crafts although I think Jessica may have got the donkey in her nativity picture confused with one of Santa’s reindeer!

Day 359 – I am grateful for a relaxed Christmas Eve with my family.

Day 360 – I am grateful for seeing the magic of Christmas through the eyes of my two gorgeous girlies.

Day 361 – I am grateful for a lovely Boxing Day with my family and getting to meet my newest great-nephew for the first time.

Day 362 – I am grateful for trails to explore on a sunny winter’s day.

Day 363 – I am grateful for snuggles on the sofa and being introduced to the Back to the Future trilogy thanks to my sister and hubby.

Day 364 – I am grateful for another good check-up for Jessica at the eye clinic – and for progressing from picture charts to letter charts.

Day 365 – I am grateful for scooters and fun outside on a foggy winter’s day.

Day 366 – I am grateful to be ending 2016 as I started it – with my gorgeous girlies and my lovely hubby. The three people I love most. Whatever 2017 may have in store, I ask only that I end it with my family complete. Wishing you all a very happy new year and may 2017 be good to you xx
