#365daysofgratitude – Week 49

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. It has not always been easy to find something to be grateful for each day though, especially since losing my beautiful daughter Jessica in April. Jessica’s zest for life, her strength and the joy that she gave to all who knew her have always inspired me. I continue with this challenge every day in honour of her.

Day 336 – I am grateful for a fun festive day out at Chessington.

Day 337 – I am grateful that my rendition of ‘Boy for Sale’ from Oliver has resulted in smiles from Thomas after a lot of crying today. Think I’ll hold off putting him on eBay… 😉 It’s been a tough day but singing made me smile again as well as Thomas.

Day 338 – I am grateful that Thomas had a nice long nap this morning and I was able to finally sort out toys and go from a living room that looked like Toys ‘R’ Us vomited all over it to having space to move again. It’s also done wonders for my stress levels – the overwhelm has been strong over the last few days.

Day 339 – I am grateful that Thomas is starting to laugh. What a happy little boy this rainbow baby of mine is. Love him so much.

Day 340 – I am grateful for getting to see my baby girl playing Angel Gabriel in her school Nativity. She made us proud this morning – all three lines were loud and clear and her dancing was beautiful.

Day 341 – I am grateful for small milestones and achievements. Today Sophie received her bronze Reading Raccoon certificate at school and her one year badge at Girls’ Brigade.

Day 342 – I am grateful that Sophie enjoyed going on a narrowboat ride to visit Santa.
