#365daysofgratitude – Week 27

#365daysofgratitude is my challenge for 2017 to share one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. I took part in a similar challenge last year and loved it so am looking forward to continuing with it this year. Here are the things that I’ve been grateful for over the past week:

Day 183 – I am grateful that my Sophy’s Rose has bloomed for the first time. So lovely to see both my girls’ namesake roses in bloom in the garden.

Day 184 – I am grateful for a wonderful first school report for Jessica that describes her as being “thoughtful, kind and caring.” So proud of her for how well she has done in her first year at school and for getting her platinum reading raccoon certificate today too.

Day 185 – I am grateful for prayer and a much-needed reminder today that I don’t have to rely on my own strength alone in this journey, nor should I try. That on days when it all feels too much, there is One who walks alongside me, who carries me and that I can lay my burden at His feet and rest. I am a heart mummy but I am not superhuman. Sometimes I need to fall apart and I am thankful for love, support and prayers when I do.

Day 186 – I am grateful for time to explore.

Day 187 – I am grateful for streams to paddle in on a hot summer’s day.

Day 188 – I am grateful for friends. Had one of those mornings where life just felt a bit overwhelming. I’d just had a little cry on the sofa when the doorbell rang. One of my lovely friends just popping by unexpectedly with flowers and wine to help cheer me up because she’d heard we’d been having a tough time lately. Such a lovely surprise and has helped turn my day around again.

Day 189 – I am grateful for a lovely day at the Roald Dahl Museum.
