#365daysofgratitude 2018 – Week 8

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. Even on the difficult days, I have managed to find something that I can be thankful for. It’s now become such a positive part of my life that I’ve decided to keep going for a third year. To find something in every day that I am thankful for, no matter how small. These weekly summaries have become a lovely way of looking back across the week, and a reminder that I have so much to be thankful for. These are the things that I have been thankful this week:

Day 49 – I am grateful for a brief catch up with hubby’s cousin and her girls. Jessica and Sophie were so excited to see their cousins.

Day 50 – I am grateful that Jessica’s heart function looked good at today’s check-up. Sats are still lower than they would like though – fingers crossed that this improves with time.

Day 51 – I am grateful that my big girl was so excited at getting to go back to school today and see her friends. She had a lovely morning and it was so lovely to see how happy she was to be back again. She’s on half-days this week and hopefully back full-time next week.

Day 52 – I am grateful that hubby has been around today to take over parenting and do the school run. I’m not quite so grateful that he’s given me the sickness bug that he had at the start of the week which has left me feeling like death warmed up for the last 24 hours but at least I’ve barely had to move from my bed or the sofa thanks to his help.

Day 53 – I am grateful for a lovely meal to celebrate Grandma’s birthday.

Day 54 – I am grateful that Jessica has coped well with being back at school this week and was very proud of her for getting a Wow of the Week for “returning to school with such enthusiasm and positivity”

Day 55 – I am grateful for birthday parties. It was so lovely to see Jessica have fun with her friends today and to see how much more confident she has become since her surgery.
