Word of the Week – Support

I’ve found it difficult to find the right word to summarise this week but I’ve been mostly grateful for having lots of support.  Hubby has been away all of this week working on an event and so I headed down to my mum’s to spend the week with her. Exhausted and definitely in need of some support after last week’s challenging week, it was a good decision. Whilst it continues to be a struggle to get Sophie to sleep much more than 10 hours in every 24 (plus the fun of trying to stop her biting when feeding due to endless ongoing teething), at least I have had some opportunities for getting a nap in and catching up on much-needed sleep. Being given some space for little pockets of ‘me’ time here and there has also helped hugely. Thanks, Mum.

Support - this week's word of the week

My little ones have loved spending so much time with Nanny and the rest of their family on my side. Spending time with their cousins is always fun. The girls enjoyed doing the Gruffalo trail together and having a sleepover at Nanny’s house. Jessica also enjoyed going crabbing with Uncle Adrian. It was a rare visit to the beach for us. I never realised just how close my brother lives to the shore before! We only managed to catch one little crab for Jessica to look at though before we put it back in the sea. It’s been lovely to have time with family again. We’ve had some fun moments together. I’m still tired and sleep-deprived but the support has made it much more bearable!
