#withkindnessandlove is a weekly series which is part of my #365daysofkindness project which I am taking on during this year. Each week, I will be sharing some stories of kindness along with some things that have made me smile during the week. Some weeks I might share a quote that has inspired me, or some suggestions for small acts of kindness that I have come across. Here are this week’s little moments of kindness and little things I have loved.
Little moments of kindness
“When we lost our much loved boxer dog last year I shared my grief with Instagram. A week later and a beautiful gift package arrived from some of the people I’ve met on there with flowers, gin, a book on losing a pet for our daughter, lots of chocolate and comedy DVDs to cheer me up – it definiately worked and was so appreciated!” (Alex – Better Together Home)
“When my son, my daughter and I travel to Ireland to visit my mum, I’m always overwhelmed by the amount of people who stop to help me with either my luggage, helping me with the kids or making sure I’m OK. When I arrived back into England I met a lovely lady who carried my luggage and helped me find the coach station. I’ll never forget her face – I wanted to hug her so tightly. She really did help me out so much, without expecting anything in return.” (Laura – Mumma & Co)
Sharing some blog love
A blog post that I loved
Unremarkable Files made me chuckle with her list of things that parents forget normal people do. If you’re permanently tired, constantly have company in the bathroom and can’t eat a meal without getting up multiple times, you will definitely be able to relate to this one!
If you have any stories about being on the receiving end of an act of kindness that you’d like me to include in a future blog post, please feel free to email them to me at louise @ littleheartsbiglove.co.uk or fill in the form here.
Some lovely stories as always and I’m off to check out that blog post about things that parents forget normal people do, it sounds hilarious!
