The Friday Focus 24/04/15

This week has been all about spending time together – time with my mum, time with my beautiful girls and time with my hubby. My mum has been staying with us for a few days and the girls have loved spending time with Nanny plus it has meant that hubby and I have also had some time just for us too!

Out and About:

We visited Bekonscot Model Village which both the girls absolutely loved. Sophie in particular was transfixed by everything – especially the little model trains that were running through the village and the model people waving from windows – it was so wonderful to hear her squeal with delight and suddenly point to something that caught her eye.

We’ve also enjoyed going out and doing some shopping – finding some pretty cardigans to go with the girls’ summer dresses.

Fun at home:
Whilst out shopping in Sainsburys, my mum spotted this gorgeous Cinderella dress and couldn’t resist buying it for Jessica who fell in love with it the moment she saw it. We’ve been having lots of fun with both girls dressing up and they’ve also enjoyed having Nanny to join in with their games too.

Time for me:

Hubby and I managed not one but two date nights this week thanks to my mum’s encouragement to take advantage of her being around to make time for us. It was so wonderful to have some time for us and to be able to relax knowing that the girls were being so well looked after.

On the blog:

I was really pleased that hubby agreed to share some of his thoughts on marriage for this month’s “Me and You” post.

My happiest moment:
Walking around the model village in the sunshine listening to the squeals of delight from both my girls each time they discovered something new.

Next week I would like to:

Meet up with lots of lovely bloggers at BlogCamp – can’t wait! I’ll be travelling with Mel from Le Coin de Mel who I met for the first time at the last BlogCamp and it will be lovely to meet up again.

It sounds like you guys made the most of your Mum being about – it is good to take advantage of such things.

I hope you and your family have another wonderful week!
    🙂

  12. Hi Louise, your girls are the cutest. I love their little outfits! Really nice that you got to spend some quality time with your other half, it can be difficult to manage that when you have small (and older) children.

Maybe one year I’ll get over to the UK and manage to go to a Blog Camp or bloggers meet up. But for now I have to make do with reading about them.

Sounds like time was a perfect word for you!

    xx

There’s something lovely about model villages – we went to one in Devon in the Summer and I still find them magical as an adult.
