It’s been one of those weeks where on the surface things appear to be fairly calm but underneath it has been a bit of a whirlwind of emotions and things going on which has made it feel quite bumpy on the whole. I’m looking forward to having a couple of days for myself at Britmums Live and meeting up with lots of lovely bloggers – hopefully it will be just what I need to recharge my batteries!
Out and About
Jessica and Sophie went to a friend’s birthday party last weekend. Jessica loved the bouncy castle – especially when everyone else was eating and she had it to herself. They weren’t quite sure about Bart Simpson, who popped in for a visit, though…!
We had a wonderful day at Legoland with Jessica’s preschool friends and the girls enjoyed the new Heartlake City show very much – I have a feeling that it is about to usurp the pirate show as their favourite thing about Legoland!
Fun at home
Jessica’s preschool friends H and E came over for a playdate on Tuesday and we all had a lovely afternoon enjoying the sunshine in the garden.
My mum has come to stay for a few days and look after the girls while I’m at Britmums. The look of joy on their faces when they see Nanny is always so wonderful to see and they are loving having Nanny here to play with them, read them stories and give them lots of cuddles.
Time for me
I took time out from the blogmin to sort out some of the clutter in the dining room and give my house the most thorough clean it has had in some time. I ended up getting rid of so much stuff and not only is the table completely cleared but there is also now space available on the bookshelf. Such a satisfying feeling.
On the blog
My post about the futility of trying to keep up with blogmin was selected as one of the Tuesday Twinklers which I was very happy about. Ironically I didn’t link up to Twinkly Tuesday this week because I’m still trying to catch up with the blogmin!
My happiest moment
Watching Sophie dancing away to the Heartlake City show at Legoland.
Next week I would like to…
Finally get back on top of the blogmin again!
I feel totally bunged down with blogmin at the mo since hols. Don’t feel I have read as many posts either which is rubbish! Totally get what you mean. I bet it was fab decluttering. The girls look like they had a fab week! It would be ace to meet you at Britmums! xx #wotw
Looking happy bouncing! Blogmin is always so hard to keep up with. I hope you have a great time at Britmums x
I’m looking forward to taking the kids to Legoland with the new Heartlake City over the summer, it does look good. I know what you mean about bumpy weeks, I do hope you have a fabulous time at Britmums and can return home less bumpy feeling! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
Have a wonderful time at Britmums!
Lovely photos….It looks like a great week x
Sounds like a productive week.
Hope you enjoy your time at BritMums 🙂
It is beautiful to see so much going on. Congrats for the featured blog post. I have to say though I only see a snapshot your daughters always look happy. I think it is good for parents to have some time out from the daily life of parenthood so I hope you have a wonderful time at Britmums. I’m sure your daughters will get spollit rotten by the parents bless X #WOTW
Oh, bumpy is a great adjective. I think I might have to adopt that too. My life has certainly been bumpy at the moment. Bouncy castles are such fun, I always want to get on there too! Hope next week is less bumpy!
OOhh seeing a lot of happy post from Britmums attendees! I am so jealous! Hope you are having a blast =) #wotw
I could do with decluttering.. I tend to do it in spurts.. 🙂
Sophie is so cute! I’m not surprised they were a bit wary of Bart Simpson – that costume is horrifying lol #happydays

I know how it feels to fall behind on the blog. Work took over for me last week and there’s loads of things I ran out of time to do 🙁 Legoland sounds fab though as we’re thinking of taking Harry for his 4th birthday in August but debating whether to go before the Summer holidays! 🙂 x
Some gorgeous photos -Legoland is on our hit list for this summer
There always seems to be so much blogadmin and coming out of Britmums a lot more too!!
Lovely seeing you xx
I hope things are smoother for you this week and that you enjoyed BritMums, it was lovely to see you x
I HEART Sophie’s dancing – too cute. I might have to steal that move next time I’m out dancing! 😉
Haha, I love the word ‘Blogmin’ by the way. I have tonnes to catch up on too – feel like a lousy blogger lately. Oh well, life comes first – right? 🙂
It was so lovely to meet and chat with you at Britmums live – you are just as lovely in ‘real life’ as I thought you would be.
Thanks for joining in with our #HappyDaysLinky xx
Wow that lego person looks amazing – I love your daughter’s expression looking at it! I am taking a little break to spend quality family time for the next few weeks. It can get challenging to keep on top of all the linkiens and new posts. #HappyDays x
Hope everything has been a little be easier this week. I love cleaning and sorting out – I always feel so much better when I have a tidy house (I just wish it happened more often!)
Boo to the blogmin! Never ending isn’t it? Love that photo of Sophie, her cardi is so fluffy! Thank you for joining in with #HappyDaysLinky x
