On Monday morning we got on a train and headed to Land’s End for the start of our challenge to travel the length of the country by train and bus. Two days, 17 hours and 54 minutes after leaving Land’s End, we reached John O’Groats. By Friday morning, we were back home again. It’s certainly been quite an adventure. I’ve been so proud of my two girls and how well they coped with all the travelling.

Thank you – we had a couple of lazy days when we got home which were much needed! 🙂

Thank you Catherine 🙂
So my that’s a huge distance, I hope you waved at us all along the way, you must have passed so close to so many along the way!
I did indeed – there were a few bloggers I waved at on the journey! 🙂
Fabulous achievement. I dread any journey by public transport that involves one change never mind the amount you did.

Thanks Alan – we made sure we allowed plenty of time for changes which helped! 🙂

Thanks Tara – they both enjoyed it 🙂
I can only assume that Land’s End and John O’Groats are at opposite ends of the country. I would enjoy the train trips and I’m glad the kids had a good time, too.
They are – about 1000 miles on the train, I think (not sure of the exact distance)
A huge well done and what a lovely photo to remind you of your great achievement
