The Q&A Meme

Q&A Meme

Thank you to the lovely Sophie at Sophie is… who has tagged me in the Q&A meme and invited me to answer the following questions:

Where in the world would you most like to be right now?

Back in the summer and sitting in the garden having fun with my girls. I love the warmer weather although winter can be nice and cosy too!

What do you love most about having your blog?

The fact that it is a space where I can be me and not just ‘mummy’ (lovely as it is to be mummy too) – somewhere that I can share my thoughts, record those lovely milestones and moments that my family goes through and also get to know so many other bloggers. I’ve been blogging for several years elsewhere but it wasn’t until I started this blog that I discovered a whole community of other parent bloggers and it’s been wonderful to get to know them through their blogs and be inspired by them.

Who is the person that you most admire?

My mum. She’s been through some tough times in her life but is incredibly strong and has passed down the importance of love and loyalty to all of us. She is the glue that holds our family together and the reason we are all so close is down to the fact that she always drummed into us the importance of sticking together and loving each other as a family even though there were times that we disagreed or didn’t like each other so much.

What keeps you awake at night?

Thinking too much about my daughter’s next planned heart surgery and all my fears about her future.

What is your all-time favourite breakfast?

Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon – yummy!

Which song makes you smile every time you hear it?

‘It’s Getting Better’ by Mama Cass – it was one of the songs we chose for our wedding (it got played as we left the reception to head off to the hotel). I love the lyrics – they sum up so beautifully how our relationship evolved from being friends to falling in love and later on getting married. And yes, in many ways it still is ‘getting better every day’.

If you could go back and give one piece of advice to your fifteen year old self, what would it be?

You are a beautiful person – don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. It would have saved me a lot of heartache in my late teens and early twenties if I’d had the self-confidence not to believe others when they tried to put me down.

So, now it’s time to tag a few other bloggers to answer some questions. I tag the following:

Stacey at Mummy M’s Memories

Gemma at Heart Mammi

Stephanie at Life at 139a

Zena at Zena’s Suitcase

Jenni at Baby Chaos

Philippa at Sounding Like My Mother

Here are my questions for you to answer:

If you could have a chat with any famous person (past or present) who would you want to meet and why?

What is your earliest memory?

What is your favourite album?

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only take five things with you, what would they be? (not including friends or family!)

If Hollywood made a film of your life, who would you cast to play you?

What was the last book you read?

What would be your biggest tip to share with a newbie blogger?

Looking forward to you joining in and reading your answers!

  3. Oh my goodness we’re kindred spirits I LOVE Mama Cass and it’s getting better – reminds me of my first trip as a 16 year old to visit my brother who had just started at Uni in Edniburgh! What an adventure. I also LOVE scrambled egg and smoked salmon but as a huge fan of breakfasts (I’d have them for every meal) I’d be hard pushed to choose a fav!

Thanks for linking up to #TheList xx
