From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I loved The Toddler thanking Silly Mummy for knowing it was her birthday in R is for Hoppit’s post and Our Cherry Tree made me chuckle with her daughter confusing the words “naturist” and “waitress.”
We’re enjoyed getting out and about recently and making the most of the gorgeous Spring weather, which has prompted a couple of observations from the girls. Sophie loves seeing the blossom on the trees during the preschool run and I love the way she looks up at it and says: “Mummy, look at all the pretties!”
We’ve enjoyed looking out for mini-beasts on our various days out and Jessica was quite fascinated by a pair of ladybirds she spotted.
“Look Mummy, the ladybird is giving his friend a piggyback!”
If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.
Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
Haha – piggyback! Yep, let’s just go with that! Thank you for mentioning my post! #ftmob
So much easier than trying to explain! Not quite ready for that conversation just yet 🙂
I’m amazed you actually managed to get a picture of the ladybirds! If that was me they’d have flown off or we’d have startled them or something… #ftmob
They were on the leaf for ages before they flew away but couldn’t resist getting the photo to go with the comment! 🙂
What lovely friendly ladybirds 🙂 So cute. We had a similar experience with frogs last year #ftmob
Lol, I can imagine frogs might have been a little noisier! 🙂
The worst part was a lady nearby told her they were being naughty so I had to correct that pretty quickly!
Lol yes, I can imagine!
Oh bless! We also spotted “two ladybirds stuck together” this week. “ooh, lucky, two for the price of one!” I declared. Spring is definitely in the air! #ftmob
Lol, I love “two for the price of one” – might have to remember that one for next time! 🙂
How lovely that the girls are making careful observations of the spring changes in the air!
x Alice
I do love the way they take it all in – it’s so interesting to see it all through their eyes 🙂
