From the mouths of babes #64 – I come in peace

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

Happy Easter everyone and hope you all had a lovely weekend!  A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week.  Domesstique made me chuckle with her post about her daughter falling in love. I also loved R is for Hoppit’s analogy of life with a Toddler and a Baby being a bit like Alice in Wonderland.

From the mouths of babes #64 - I come in peace - Little Hearts, Big Love

Sophie has been making me laugh this week with some of the funny things she says.  The other day we were heading off to a toddler group. As she stepped outside, she threw out her arms and announced “I come in peace!”  Goodness only knows where she got that particular phrase from!

We went shopping with Grandma while Jessica was at preschool one morning.  As we stepped out of the lift into the middle of the shopping centre, Sophie looked around and exclaimed “Oh. My. Goodness!”  I’m still not quite sure what exactly provoked that reaction but it was very funny.

I love the way Sophie greets me on the rare occasions I leave her at home with hubby. The look of joy on her face when she sees me walk through the door, followed by a huge bear hug and “Mummy! You came back! I love you Mummy!”  Bless.

I love listening to my girls singing but very rarely manage to capture it on video.  This week I thought I’d share a little clip of Sophie singing “the goodnight song” from CBeebies.

If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter. Please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.

Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!

    1. Thank you Alice – I was so glad I managed to catch her singing on video – she usually stops as soon as she sees the camera!
