From the mouths of babes #53

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I loved Mummy’s Blog’s list of things that Bear has been saying recently, especially her trying to be especially cute in order to get some chocolate! For The Love of Repeating Myself made me laugh with her fairytale about magic corn and what exactly it is that defines a pony.

From the mouths of babes #53 - A sleepover with Sophie - Little Hearts, Big Love

We had a very tired out little Sophie last week – at one point she fell asleep on the floor in amongst all the Duplo. On spotting that her little sister had fallen asleep, Jessica instantly asked to get into her pyjamas so she could have “a sleepover with Sophie”.

Jessica is often at her chattiest at dinnertime. The other day, she was asking Daddy some questions:

Jessica: “What’s your name? Is it Daddy?”

Hubby: “Yes.”

Jessica: “And what about the girl?”

Hubby: “The girl? Do you mean Mummy?”

Jessica: “Yes, that’s it. Mummy.”

If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.

Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying this week.

    1. I’m not sure where the idea of a “sleepover” came from – I wasn’t aware she even knew there was such a thing! 🙂
