From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
On Saturday morning, I was considering where we could go for the day. We have a few nearby country parks, plus National Trust membership and an annual pass to Chiltern Open Air Museum which gives us plenty of options.
Me: “Where shall we go for the day? Black Park? Langley Park? The museum?”
Jessica: “Legoland!”
Me: “No, I can’t afford to take you to Legoland.”
Jessica: (hopefully) “You could always go somewhere first to get some money and then take us to Legoland.”
Bless her heart. I’m not sure she realises yet that cashpoints don’t give you money for free. Even if some of them do say “free cash” on them…
