I’m going to #BML16

There’s just a month to go until #BML16 and I’m getting quite excited at the prospect of a day to learn more about blogging and social media, not to mention the opportunity to meet so many other bloggers who have been such a huge part of my online social life (which sadly is much more active than my real-life social life!) as well as those whose blogs I have yet to discover.  Here’s a little more about me and what I’m hoping to get out of my #BML16 experience.

With the lovely Mel from Le Coin de Mel at last year's Britmums - I'm looking forward to catching up with other bloggers at this year's #BML16

My name:

Louise

My blog:

Little Hearts, Big Love

How I look:

I’m petite – 5ft tall with mid-length brown hair and glasses.

Is this my first blogging event?

No, I’ve attended Blog Camp a couple of times and went to Britmums Live last year.

Meeting up with other bloggers and the Twirlywoos and being wrapped in tissue paper as a mummy at last year's Britmums Live

I will be wearing…

A 50s style tea dress with cream sandals – I decided that #BML16 was the perfect excuse to treat myself to a new outfit.

What I hope to gain from #BML16:

A few more tips about how to be a better blogger, but mostly just the chance to meet up with other bloggers, to be able to network with a variety of brands and to have a lot of fun doing so.

My tips for a great conference:

Be friendly and enjoy the opportunity to chat to other bloggers.  If you’re feeling nervous, it’s worth trying to meet up with a couple of other bloggers beforehand so you don’t have to go in on your own.  I always feel like blog conferences are like meeting up with friends that you’ve never met – we get to know so much about each other through our blogs and social media and it is amazing how quickly you can end up chatting away to someone like you’re old friends.

Don’t feel like you have to cram in as many sessions as possible – if you’re feeling overloaded with tips and information, take a break and perhaps just chat to other bloggers or have some time out for yourself.

Mostly, just relax and enjoy yourself – and please do come and say hello if you see me there!

  7. Hi Louise, I would love to go to one of the big blogging conferences ( I say that, but I’d be petrified!). Meeting the faces behind the blogs would be fantastic as like you said it would be like meeting up with old friends. I also feel that to be better bloggers we have to be continuously learning and what better place to learn than at a blogging camp or conference.

I hope you have a smashing time at BML16!

    xx
