From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week. Writing Bubble shared a fabulous portrait of her family straight from the imagination of her toddler and I loved the list of funny things that Birds and Lilies‘ daughter has been saying recently.
My girls have taken it in turns to be poorly over the last week although thankfully both now seem to be on the mend. Jessica was quite sad about Sophie not feeling well. After a few moments of concern, she trotted off to fetch her nurse’s outfit, reassuring me with:
“Don’t worry, Mummy. I get doctor’s kit and I make Sophie all better.”
Sophie was a little less keen on her sister’s ministrations. It was adorable to see Jessica wanting to make her little sister better though.
If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.
I’m linking up my latest siblings post as I’ve been sharing some of the things that Jessica and Sophie have been saying there. Looking forward to hearing what your little ones have been saying.

She is too sweet! Isn’t it lovely when big sisters start getting all protective over their little sisters? Hope the bugs are completely gone for J and S. Xxx
Thanks Mel – it was such an adorable moment. They both seem to be much better this week, thank you x
Oh bless her that is so adorable xx
Thank you – it was such a lovely moment 🙂
Aww! That is too sweet….My girls used to play doctors and nurses a lot!
I hope your girls are both feeling better now x
Thanks Kim, they both seem to be much better this week 🙂
Kids will always say the funniest things because they say it so innocently, but I guess that’s childhood for you. If only things stayed so simple…
Nice linky, love the topic. Thanks for hosting #ftmob
Thank you – I love the innocent way they say things too. So glad you like the linky, lovely to have you joining in 🙂
Oh how cute, they look so close. I hope they are both feeling better.
We used to dread Monkey getting his doctors kit out, as it would end up in large portions of pain.
He used to check your reflex’s with this little hammer thing but whack you with it, and stretch your ear lobes so they were 4 inches longer so he could shine his torch down, oh the joys :-0 haha. x
Thank you – not sure I like Monkey’s approach to medicine from the way you describe it! Jessica just loves to give you injections but fortunately isn’t too forceful with the plastic syringe!
He meant well bless, just a bit heavy handed,
luckily he takes a much more gentle approach now 🙂
Thanks for hosting
Glad that his bedside manner has improved – these little ones just don’t realise how strong they are! 🙂
That is just too cute! How lovely that must have been to watch 🙂
Thanks Sara, it was such an adorable moment 🙂
Aaaw I hope your girls are feeling better now. They are too sweet and so so so cute. <3
Thank you Melody, they have both been much better this week 🙂

Thank you Jenni – it was a lovely moment 🙂
It’s lovely to see how much they care for each other. Thanks for mentioning my post (and sorry it took me this long to comment!) xx
