The weather has suddenly got colder and I feel like I’ve gone into hibernation mode this week. Maybe it’s the reaction to the emotional rollercoaster of the past few weeks or just the natural lull in energy that always seems to hit me as the days grow shorter. I just want to curl up indoors, cosy and warm, and getting an early night is winning over blogging at the moment. Hopefully I’ll manage to find a bit more energy next week as we head into the festive season!
Things I have loved this week:
- Finding my first mystery geocache. I’d solved the puzzle a little while ago and finally got around to finding the geocache while out on a walk with Sophie.
- Taking the girls to the cinema to see Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.
- The girls’ pretty new Seesaw reversible dresses that Grandma and Grandad bought them from RHS Wisley craft fayre.
- Watching the girls helping with the washing up at church. They had a wonderful time. The floor got a good wash as well!
- Making Christmas pictures with Sophie.
- Getting some of the Christmas shopping done online.
- The pretty handmade Advent calendar that Godmummy Gillian sent for the girls.
- Jessica’s retelling of the Nativity story. It did make me chuckle when she ended it with “…and they lived happily ever after.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her otherwise!
- Redoing my blog header to make it festive.
I’m not surprised you feel like hibernating ! it’s been so cold this week hasn’t it as well that always makes me want to stay under my duvet. I love Sophie’s Christmas picture it’s lovely. Have a restful and fun weekend x #WotW
Thank you Angela. The cold weather definitely makes staying indoors and snuggling under a duvet much more appealing! 🙂
I always feel like that as this time of year. Its the dark nights but you have had a very busy few weeks. I’m sure that us an understatement. There is nothing wrong with early nights, they do make me more productive at times #WotW
The early nights have definitely been a good thing. I’m not sure I’ve been any more productive but at least I’m not so tired! 🙂
Awww I love your festive blog header and all the snow! I don’t blame you for hibernating, it is appealing to me at the moment too!
Nat.x
Thank you Nat – it is quite appealing with all the cold weather, isn’t it? 🙂
Oh yes, it has been so cold! I’ve been just the same, and I get the school run done as quickly as I can so we can all get indoors and snuggle up! That Advent calendar is just beautiful x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
Snuggling indoors is definitely very appealing at this time of year! 🙂
I love your festive blog header, I have one myself somewhere, I’ll have to dig it out, or make another one. Your girls always have the prettiest dresses x
#wotw
Thank you Anne. They do have some lovely dresses – thanks to two grandmothers who just love to spoil them! 🙂
Awww, your girls are adorable in their matching outfits. Brrrr has been cold hasn’t it all I wanted to do is curl up with a blanket and a hot water bottle so freezing! X #wotw
Thank you. Curling up with a blanket and hot water bottle is very appealing! 🙂
Yes! I have felt like hibernating too but I think it’s down to the weather…
Aww! Those dresses are gorgeous. The girls are looking so cute.
I love your new blog header x
Thank you Kim, it was fun to make a new festive header 🙂
Aw bless her, its a pretty awful story in parts isn’t it? The calendar is lovely, and the girls look so sweet in their dresses xx
It certainly is, especially the next part where the family have to flee to Egypt. She knows the Easter story too but I don’t think she’s connected the two yet. The dresses are gorgeous – I do love pretty matching dresses for the girls! 🙂
Such a gorgeous Christmas card and I totally understand when you say you want to hibernate. Needing to do that here too
Thank you – it is very appealing with the cold weather! 🙂
Now hibernation is an idea I could get behind LOL!
Lol, it is appealing with the days being so short now!
oooh a mystery cache is doubly exciting when you discover you’ve got it right. I can understand the hibernation mode. Take care of yourself x #WotW
I still don’t get how to solve most of the ones I’ve encountered but it was nice to manage to find one! 🙂
