#365daysofgratitude – Week 44

#365daysofgratitude is my challenge for 2017 to share one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. I took part in a similar challenge last year and loved it so am looking forward to continuing with it this year. Here are the things that I’ve been grateful for over the past week:

Day 302 – I am grateful for small acts of kindness. We went to McDonalds this afternoon (the girls’ reward for being good during the church members’ meeting after this morning’s service). The Happy Meal toy had a mini notepad inside. At some point Jessica must have dropped her notepad and it got swept up. She was quite upset when she realised it was gone and we had some tears. While I was trying to comfort her, the lady cleaning must have realised what had happened because she suddenly appeared at our table with a replacement toy for Jessica. It was a such a little thing from an adult perspective but it made my little girl very happy.

Day 303 – I am grateful for inset days. We’ve had a lovely day at Legoland today and Jessica loved being big enough to drive the cars at the Lego City Driving School for the first time.

Day 304 – I am grateful that the lack of pumpkins outside made for a quiet evening and that my mini Halloween cakes went down well at Sophie’s preschool party.

Day 305 – I am grateful for getting to wake up in my own bed with my two girls snuggled up next to me.

Day 306 – I am grateful for normality and being able to get out to our usual weekday activities.

Day 307 – I am grateful for all of Jessica’s lovely friends and the officers at Girls’ Brigade. She loves her toy doggy that she was given tonight to take on her “sleepover” next week and has named her Rosie.

Day 308 – I am grateful for a fun afternoon at the Playstation family showcase event. The girls loved trying out some new games.
