#365daysofgratitude – Week 44

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. It has not always been easy to find something to be grateful for each day though, especially since losing my beautiful daughter Jessica in April. Jessica’s zest for life, her strength and the joy that she gave to all who knew her have always inspired me. I continue with this challenge every day in honour of her.

Day 301 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon with hubby’s cousins who are visiting from Luxembourg. Sophie loved seeing her cousins and had such a wonderful time with them and it was lovely for them to be able to meet Thomas who shares the twins’ birthday too.

Day 302 – I am grateful for an inset day and the opportunity for Sophie to go to the toy shop to spend her birthday money. She picked a few things to add to her PAW Patrol toy collection.

Day 303 – I am grateful for simple suppers.

Day 304 – I am grateful for a really interesting day out visiting the Battle of Britain bunker.

Day 305 – I am grateful for the beautiful quilt that my friend’s mum made for Thomas to go with the two equally beautiful quilts that she made last year for my girls.

Day 306 – I am grateful for the octopus costume I made Jessica when she was a toddler – it was perfect for Thomas to wear for the Halloween TinyTalk class.

Day 307 – I am grateful that my friend Gillian has come to stay for a couple of days and that Thomas is enjoying meeting Godmummy Gillian. Looking forward to all of Team Godparent coming together tomorrow for this little man’s christening.
