#365daysofgratitude – Week 34

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. It has not always been easy to find something to be grateful for each day though, especially since losing my beautiful daughter Jessica in April. Jessica’s zest for life, her strength and the joy that she gave to all who knew her have always inspired me. I continue with this challenge every day in honour of her.

Day 231 – I am grateful for a fun day exploring Bristol and hunting for as many of the Gromit Unleased 2 sculptures as we can find.

Day 232 – I am grateful for a lovely morning catching up with friends at the park.

Day 233 – I am grateful for a fun day at soft play watching Sophie have fun with other children from Halo.

Day 234 – I am grateful that Thomas slept for an hour and a half in the bassinet this afternoon. He normally objects within minutes of being put down anywhere and while the sleepy cuddles are lovely, it was good to have a decent chunk of time to get some much-needed household chores done, plus a little time to sit and relax too!

Day 235 – I am grateful that I remembered to renew my expired AA membership yesterday. Got a puncture en route to the chiropractor today thanks to a pothole. Am also very grateful for my friend Claire helping solve the dilemma of how to get a new tyre. The AA man would have gone to a local garage to get one but none of them would take a card payment over the phone and we couldn’t fit Sophie, Thomas and myself in the AA van to go and get the tyre. Hubby and my in-laws are both away and I was wondering who I could phone to help out when Claire appeared. She was able to take Sophie for me so Thomas and I could go with the AA man to get a new tyre. So glad to be back home now with the car all sorted out!

Day 236 – I am grateful for a visit from Godmummy Katy.

Day 237 – I am grateful that Sophie loved her surprise trip to see PAW Patrol Live.

  1. I’m so glad you’ve got friends like Claire around to help you out when things like that happen. Good to see the rest of the week went a little better!
