#365daysofgratitude – Week 32

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. It has not always been easy to find something to be grateful for each day though, especially since losing my beautiful daughter Jessica in April. Jessica’s zest for life, her strength and the joy that she gave to all who knew her have always inspired me. I continue with this challenge every day in honour of her.

Day 217 – I am grateful for being able to reuse the birthing pool. The perfect place to spend a hot sunny afternoon.

Day 218 – I am grateful for a visit from my mum and sister.

Day 219 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon catching up with my friend Mel and for the beautiful photos that she took of Sophie and Thomas.

Day 220 – I am grateful that all was well with Thomas’s newborn hearing check this morning.

Day 221 – I am grateful that Thomas is now breastfeeding well on both sides after a trip to the chiropractor today. He’s generally been feeding well but was much more resistant to latching on one side before today’s appointment. He’s being a little milk monster this evening but at least he’s now latching easily.

Day 222 – I am grateful that today is Peanut’s due date and this gorgeous wee man of ours has been here just over two weeks already.

Day 223 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon catching up with friends.
