This week has been all about spending time with family – enjoying a few days with my twin sister and nieces. The girls have been having so much fun together and I’ve loved being with my family, and having a couple of extra little pairs of hands being willing to help me with the girls, especially with hubby being away in Germany this week.
We had a brilliant day out at a soft play centre at the beginning of the week; the highlight of which was persuading my 75-year old mum to go in with the kids who loved having Nanny joining in with the fun. I quite enjoyed being able to relax with my mum and sister over a cup of coffee and watch the girls having fun and it certainly wore Jessica and Sophie out!
We’ve had a couple of afternoons out at the swimming pool – something that I rarely do with the girls at home as I can’t take them both swimming on my own. Jessica was having a whale of a time and enjoyed trying to swim with her armbands whereas Sophie was quite unsure about it all and I felt like I had a little koala clinging on to me the whole time we were in the pool. On the plus side, it was lovely to have such an extended cuddle! It was good to see her get more confident on our second trip to the pool and start to really enjoy being in the water – by the end of the second session, she was happily standing up in the toddler pool by herself and playing with the water jets.
It’s been a week full of simple childhood pleasures – playing in the park, playing games together and reading stories and we’ve loved it.
I loved the piccys of your Mum in the soft play earlier this week! She looked like she was having a whale of the time. Great you could take both the girls swimming together and they are doing so well xxx Have a great week next time and hope hubby back soon xx #wotw

So glad to read this and that you’re stuck to your goal which was at the start of the summer to spend more time doing and enjoying time with your family, even if Hubby is away. This really is what it’s all about and being able to have you mum around too, is special
Enjoy and I love your photos; you all look really happy
