The Friday Focus 06/11/15

This week has been a mishmash of different moments – fun moments with the girls, busy moments doing jobs around the house, relaxing moments enjoying time out with hubby and bittersweet moments when the realisation of just how quickly my girls are growing up suddenly hits me once more. There have been two moments in particular with Jessica where I have realised this – one where I carried her up to bed and she suddenly seemed so very big in my arms and the second was when I filled in the form applying for her to start school next year.

This week's word of the week is "mishmash" - The Friday Focus 06/11/15 - Little Hearts, Big Love

This week has certainly felt like it has been a very full one and I’ve taken a bit of a step back on the blogging front as result – there has been so much else going on that I’ve not had much time to devote to the blog this week. As much as I love blogging though, it has been nice to have that step back and really focus on spending time with my family, time with my lovely hubby and focus on chipping away at all those little jobs that need doing around the house too.

Things I have loved this week:

  • Watching the girls enjoying themselves at an outdoor stay and play session.

  • Treating ourselves to a carvery and the squeals of delight from the girls as we arrived – you would have thought I’d been starving them all day!
  • The fun of taking the girls to the toy shop and letting them spend their birthday money followed by an even more fun afternoon playing with their new toys (we’ve been adding to the collection of Bing things!)

  • Going to Legoland with the girls’ friends H and E for the last day of the season.

  • Relaxing at a spa day with my lovely hubby and enjoying time just as a couple whilst the girls had a lovely day with Grandma.

  1. What a very busy and full week! Lovely to have time as a couple as well as enjoying time with the girls. too. My kids are often like that in restaurants, people must think they’re starved! Ah, filling in the school application is quite momentous, I hope you get the school that you want x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

    1. Thanks Jocelyn – it was funny to hear how excited they got about going out to eat! Lovely to link up to #WotW again 🙂

  2. How lovely to have a spa day! You both look so happy and relaxed. Fingers crossed on the school front too – stressful time if I remember correctly.

  3. Oh it may be a mishmash but what a lovely week, although I do know that when I completed Luke’s form for school it suddenly hit me that he was growing up and will soon no longer be my pre-schooler.
It’s great to see you and hubby spending time together after reading about you guys being apart for so long. I bet it was fabulous to spend some grown up time together,
Enjoy your weekend – this post has made me smile

    1. Thank you Tracey – I’m trying not to think too much about Jessica starting school – hopefully the time won’t go by too quickly! It was lovely to have that time together with hubby at the spa day, was much needed after him being away so much lately. 🙂

    1. Thank you – it certainly felt like a very full week and the spa day was just blissful 🙂

    1. Thanks Sarah – they do grow up too quickly don’t they – definitely a good reminder to stop and enjoy those little moments 🙂
