Sisterhood of the World Award

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these tags but after being nominated for a Sisterhood of the World Award recently, I thought it was time to join in once again. Thank you for the nomination Mama Ain’t Raisin’ No Fools and here are my answers to the questions you have given me:

Sisterhood of the World Award - Little Hearts, Big Love

1. What made you decide to start blogging?

I’ve been blogging on and off for about ten years now and can’t quite remember why I started originally. This blog started as a way of me wanting to share my thoughts about being a heart mummy. I already had a blog which shared my daughter’s journey from being diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome while I was pregnant with her but it didn’t feel like it was the right place for me to share my own personal reflections.

2. What would you choose for your last supper?

It would probably have to be a Chinese takeaway – crispy duck pancakes, crispy chilli beef and egg fried rice.

3. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

I would love to have dinner once again with my dad, who passed away six years ago.

4. Where is your favourite place that you have been and what’s so special about it?

Switzerland – it was where hubby and I spent our honeymoon and it was just beautiful. I have so many wonderful memories of it and the contrasts in the places we visited – from basking in 30’C sunshine in Lake Geneva to going up the Jungfrau and playing in the snow. It was somewhere I had always wanted to visit and to go there for our honeymoon made it extra-special.

5. How did you come up with the name for your blog?

I wanted a name that reflected us as a heart family, but also was more general too.  I often say that Jessica’s half a heart overflows with love; once you add her little sister into the equation that becomes two little hearts with a lot of love which evolved to become “Little Hearts, Big Love”.

6. What is your favourite book ever?

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

7. What’s your most embarrassing guilty pleasure?

I like to dance around the kitchen when no-one’s watching.

8. Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Anna Kendrick as it would have to be a musical.

9. What would your super power be?

The ability to heal – and I would start by completely healing Jessica’s heart.

10. What is your proudest achievement?

Becoming a mummy to my two beautiful girls.

A taste of medieval life at Chiltern Open Air Museum - Little Hearts, Big Love

If you’d like to take part and share your answers to these questions, please consider yourself tagged and let me know if you join in so I can read your answers too.
