From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
Last week, Conversations with Hank made me chuckle with her post about trying to make sure Hank understood why Molly needed her afternoon nap despite Molly’s best attempts to get her brother to rescue her from the cot!
Jessica often likes to tell us about things that happened “when I was a little girl…” as if she’s suddenly all grown up now. Sometimes she talks about things that she actually did do when she was smaller; other times there’s a lot of imagination involved, for instance when walking past a parked car and having her remark “I used to drive a car like that when I was a little girl.”
We were reading the story of Rapunzel together the other day and talking about the prince climbing up Rapunzel’s hair.
“Do you think it would hurt having someone climbing up your hair?” I asked Jessica
“Yes,” she said, “but it doesn’t hurt Rapunzel because her hair is long and curly.”
Clearly long curly hair has magical properties that I never knew about before!
If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.
Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
