From the mouths of babes #31

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

 

A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I loved Wave to Mummy’s lists of toddlerisms – especially “na na noishe?” (what’s that noise?) – so adorable – and Life with Baby Kick’s toddler’s question about “Mummy’s monkey” really made me chuckle

I’ve been getting some wonderful glimpses into toddler and preschool logic from Sophie and Jessica this week:

 

Me (giving Sophie kisses): “Aww Sophie-woo, you are so beautiful. What does Mummy say you are?” (expecting her to repeat the word ‘beautiful’)
Sophie: “Monkey!”

Ah yes, am sure that word is used much more frequently to describe Sophie!

 

Jessica: “Mummy, I go to preschool with H and E.”
Me: “Yes, darling, but H will be going to big school now.”
Jessica: “Yes. H go to big school. Me and E go to small school. We go to preschool.”

 

Jessica: “Daddy, where’s the big iPad?”
Hubby: “It’s gone on the truck to Germany.” [with the equipment for the event that he’s currently away working on]

The next day, en route to taking Daddy to the airport

Jessica: “Daddy, where you going?”
Hubby: “Germany.”
Jessica: “Are you going to Germilly to get the big iPad, Daddy?”
