I feel like I’ve been juggling a lot of balls this week. It’s been a busy one with the last couple of days of dance festival for Sophie, my mother-in-law’s birthday, attending the funeral of a lovely lady who used to do Sunday school at church when my girls were small, trying to catch up on work after half-term and having a busy week with meetings and dealing with various bits of paperwork that needed to be dealt with this week.

So far, most of the balls have stayed up in the air although I did have a couple of extra trips back-and-forth to home yesterday when taking the children to various activities and then realising en route that something essential had been left behind, so I’ve definitely dropped a couple of balls this week! On the plus side, most of the urgent jobs on the to-do list have been done and next week will hopefully be a less manic one.
What I’ve been grateful for this week:

- Day 51 – I am grateful for two 3rd place medals today for Sophie for her tap solo and with the senior tap group, and another All England Dance qualifying dance with the tap group.
- Day 52 – I am grateful for a bounce break in the middle of this afternoon’s shopping trip.
- Day 53 – I am grateful for a lovely family meal out to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday.
- Day 54 – I am grateful that the views on my walks are getting prettier.
- Day 55 – I am grateful for a beautiful service celebrating the life of Jenny, for the kind, caring, friendly person she was, for her work with children in our church and for the lovely memories I have, particularly from when my girls were small.
- Day 56 – I am grateful that Thomas enjoyed doing some painting after school.
- Day 57 – I am grateful for time to bake.
Other things that have made me smile this week:
- A lovely message from a church member thanking me for playing the piano for services.

- The monster Thomas made at school.

- The pretty flowers in my monthly flower delivery.

It sounds like a busy week. Happy birthday to your mother-in-law and so sorry about the lady who used to do Sunday School.
Well done to Sophie with her medals, she must have quite the collection now! That is such a lovely message from the church member.
It sounds like you have juggled tremendously this week! Some weeks just seem overloaded with things; there’s always lots to do, especially when the kids do lots of fun activities out of school.
I’m sorry to hear about your Sunday school friend.
What a lovely note about your piano playing. It’s nice that they reached out to show you appreciation.
The monster that Thomas made looks fun, and your flowers look very pretty.
Well done Sophie on the dancing again. Seems like a mixed week, with some highs and maybe some sad times too. It’s so nice to see the spring flowers coming out isn’t it. I can’t believe there’s blossom out already too. Nice feeling to get compliments too on your playing.
That thank you message is so sweet. Your talent makes a difference in people’s lives. Happy birthday to your mother-in-law.
I think I need to get my glasses checked.. I read it as “Judging” before I clicked on it Doh! It does sound like a busy week and if only a couple of balls got dropped I call that a win. What a lovely message regarding your playing. Sophie is going to need a trophy room! well done to her.
Well done on all the juggling and well done to Sophie with her dancing and Thomas with his fabulous monster. You always seem to have so much to do, there can’t be enough hours in the day for you. What a lovely message you received, it’s so nice to be appreciated.
Well done to Sophie with her dancing. What a lovely message you received, I hope you’re proud of yourself as well as the children.
I’m pleased the service for your friend Jenny went so well and your MIL birthday was celebrated with a lovely meal.
Juggling is what we Mums do all the time, surely one or two balls dropped does not count. 🙂
What a beautiful heartfelt message you received about playing the music. I imagine that makes the service extra special.
Those are beautiful flowers, and the monster Thomas created, made me smile. Well done to Sophie for her dancing!
