This week has been quite a sociable one. Last Friday, I caught up with a friend over brunch in the morning. Sophie had a nice sociable evening with her friends at her school disco and I went out for a drink with some of the other mums between drop-off and pick-up which was nice.

On Saturday, I had a nice social evening with some of my am-dram friends and then on Sunday we headed down to visit my mum. It was her birthday on Monday, so I also got to catch up with a few of my siblings, nieces and nephews who were dropping by with birthday cards and presents.

I’ve had a couple of days in the office this week and it’s been nice to see some of my colleagues and catch up with them in person. I’ve also managed to get out with my walking group and enjoy chatting with people on the walk.
What I’ve been grateful for this week:
- Day 65 – I am grateful for puzzles.
- Day 66 – I am grateful for a blast from the past – used to love Dewberry products back in my teens so lovely to see them back again.
- Day 67 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon with my mum.
- Day 68 – I am grateful that Thomas enjoyed going into school in his World Book Day costume today.
- Day 69 – I am grateful for chocolate.
- Day 70 – I am grateful for after-school trips to the park.
- Day 71 – I am grateful for coming up with an outfit for Sophie for her school’s World Book Day dress-up day today that was the right balance of normal clothes with just enough accessories to make it a character costume.
Other things that have made me smile this week:
- Thomas enjoying his first school trip without having me there as a parent helper.
- Blossom-covered trees on the school run.
- Sophie being selected to do a tap solo for the spring dance show at school.
